I'm not wearing one right now. I'm wearing one of our captains, which is the only thing I wear besides our robes. Um it feels like I'm always in a captain or a robe. Yeah, so our robes came about um as my bar body was getting larger and I was becoming um disabled. I was spending a lot more time in loungewear. None of the loungewear fit me properly or was really as sexy as I wanted it to be, or as luxurious as I wanted it to be. And I was feeling terrible about myself. So I um sold my house and started pair of robes. And uh it's been an incredible journey. I'm on, I've been on a little bit of a hiatus this year, um, just you know, burnt out like everybody, I guess. And uh watching with bated breath what's going on in the world. Um, but I'm still very passionate about, you know, our community and access to wonderful things and people loving their bodies and being loved in their bodies. And, you know, that all falls in line with um what you do as well.

Yeah, I never ever had a robe or the sash tied all the way around me. I could never find one before. I would even buy robes in the men's department stuff, which, you know, not sexy. It's not my favorite. Sometimes, but some of them, yeah. So I just I don't know. I mean, you know, I buy them at like JC Penney's in the men's department. So robe was available. I was like, oh my god, I gotta do this.

Why Plus-Size Fashion Keeps Failing

further than I ever imagined it would. We have the size range. Oh, we are sizes 14 to 40. So 1x to 7x. Um, and uh yeah, that's worked out really well for us. We are exclusively for plus sizes, and um, we will never not be for plus sizes.

So the plus plus designers are really letting us down. They're really a lot of them are getting rid of their plus sizes. It's really sad.

They are, they were never really for us. They were not they were not doing it because it was the right thing to do, they were dipping their toe in it to see if it would be profitable, and then they never really did it correctly, anyways. You know, they you know had us in the back of the store, they had us on mannequins that didn't fit us, they gave us the worst styles, you know, and so yeah. I mean, who it it hurts every time you lose something like that, but at the same time, were they really ever that great, anyways?

Um, there's very few brands that have done us respectfully, and I do us worshipfully, you know. I absolutely I'm a proud fat supremacist. I think that we are glorious, and I love to um, you know, showcase that our our designs are very body conscious and we are twinsies, we both glorify obesity like they're we really do. Oh my gosh, we're so bad. Um and it's it's a wonderful way to live, you know. Um shutting shutting that from your consciousness and living freely and surrounding yourself with even if you're not there yet yourself, looking up to people who are there and surrounding yourself, following people like that, and just dipping your toe in and seeing where it will fit for you.

You're very liberated when it comes to your body and with your sex life, you're very open about it, and that you're polyamorous and that you have sex with men and women, and you're very open about everyone in between.

So I do, yes, uh, both for solo play and partner play. Um, I always want the hot new thing. Um, I'm usually pretty disappointed by it because I'm also a highly critical person because I make products myself. I always use products and think, how could I have done this better?

Designing A Sex Strap That Holds

Um, actually, I surprise Peridot's coming out with a sex aid um in the next few weeks. Um, we we've been working on it for a long time. I've been enjoying it every single time I have sex. I use it. Um, it's the sex strap. I think um I purchased one about 24 years ago at a gas station in Wyoming in a discount pin of sex toys. And it was just kind of like, you know, it was a few dollars, and I bought it, and over the years it broke a million times. I would always get it fixed because I love this thing. So it goes around your neck, not around your neck this way, but around your neck and the back. It's got a little cushy spot, and it's just long straps, and then it's got stirrups for your feet to hold your legs wide open. Yeah, and it's it keeps them up there, it keeps them up. It keeps them up there and while you're coming really hard, you don't have to worry about what your legs are doing or you know, putting pressure on your partner. Um, you know, some partners have sensory issues with that kind of stuff, so having wide, easy access is much better for them. Um, you know, it lets people get deeper, it lets you just not worry about it. But like I said, the one that I had for such a long time broke so many times. I couldn't find a better one on the market. So I said, you know what? I know how to sew stuff, I know how to source stuff, and so we made one ourselves. I'm excited. Oh god, it's glorious. We went all the way, as we do. We went all the way, got the best, the best, the best, the best, the best. Um, I trust the strength on this thing so much you could dangling dangle me off a skyscraper with it. I it is so strong.

We sure do. Yeah, I like a living wage. So do my people. So um, yeah, we care very much about, you know, if it carries our name, it's gotta have the highest, highest quality, it's got to be very thoughtful design, it's got to be produced very ethically. You know, we are when people invest their money into a small business, we have that more. I I feel a very strong moral obligation to do the ethical thing in every way that I possibly can, even down to our packaging is recyclable, you know, like every aspect of it. So it's uh it's fun. Are you gonna call it a sling? Are we gonna call it the sling? I have you know, it's the strap for me. When when my boyfriend's about to pound the shit out of me, I'm like, go grab the straps. That's just kind of it's been its nickname around my house. So uh that's kind of what it is for us. But we might need to Google that and see who else is doing.

There's lots of straps out there, and it's not a strap-on, but yeah, it's um and I do want to talk about strap-ons today, but um, yeah, uh, sports sheets does make a sling that kind of goes like a cushion under your neck, and then like little cuffs.

I'm very tall, it wasn't proportioned right for me. It also wasn't strong enough, and the buckles are made of plastic. So, you know, I it's a good beginner's thing, but ours is metal um, you know, uh buckles and everything like that. It's much better quality. The strapping on it is much softer on the skin. And the um oh, I I didn't like the other room. Is it made with neoprene or nylon or what is it made of um it's different materials? Okay. It's it's nylon on the straps, the um fur that is on the neck strap and the foot stirrups um is like the highest quality um uh fake fur. But we touched every fur in downtown Los Angeles to find the plushest, minkiest, silkiest, flinkiest. I didn't agree, man. It's just so plush. The moment we touch it, we're like, oh that one, you know, which if you if you're familiar with our clothing, every time we touch a paradox piece, you're like, oh, you know, it's a sensory, it's a sensory delight.

It is, I really, and I'm not even really like a sensory person, but it is really delightful. It feels like a really warm, warm hug. And yeah, I I love my short ones, I love my long ones. I have, like you said, I have quite a few of them, but yeah, I love all my products. I can't wait.

Yes, it's all adjustable. So, you know, for shorter people, short shorter legs, or if you want your leg to be in a different position, sure. Um, you know, I use it not just on my back, but also on my side to carry one leg up. Um, you know, I also pull it very, very tight sometimes to have my legs, um, my feet up by my chest more, you know. So it's very versatile. It's also just good for stretching, you know, in the morning sometimes if I'm stiff. Um, and uh, you know, I just put it around my foot and lift my leg up, and that's not something I can do on my own. I'm not very bendy. I'm you know, I have I have uh other gifts. Very I'm I've never been bending. Even when I was a kid, I couldn't touch my toes. Um, you know, but this is for all kinds of people people with injuries, people who, you know, just don't want to hold their legs up in the air for extended periods of being licked and enjoyed.

I might blush because um so for the longest time I was a big fan of the rose. Rose kind of went to the back of the drawer. I started using a lem because it kind of has a little bit more of a percussive feel on the clitoris. I haven't tried it. I also really love it on my nipples. Um, and uh and and then I started using the avocado that was also from Hello Nancy. Um, before that, I had a horrible thing from Amazon. It's called like Jennifer's Dog or something like that. Oh, Tracy's Dog, Tracy's Dog. Tracy's dog. Oh my god. Worst name ever, except maybe the womanizer. But you know, but yeah, um, but that thing I blew my freaking mind the first time I tried it. Um, I've also really started enjoying those metal wands oh yeah, that are kind of um uh curved in because I can squirt with those, which I love. Yeah, the thing I hate about the lem is the charger, it it's a magnetic charger with like two little tiny prongs, and it has to be and it's round, so it doesn't sit in any kind of way, and you have to have it exactly lined up. And so I don't know if it's just like I mean, uh the lady from um sports sheets, she is a plus size woman, uh Rin, and she's great and she knows a lot about bodies and sex toys, but I don't think there's enough fat bodies that work in the sex toy industry. So I don't think they really understand. They don't uh some of them do better than others. I mean, sports sheets is the first company to ever come up with a plus size product. Remember the the doggy style strap. They're the first ones ever to make something specifically for plus size people.

Um, ooh, you know what? The strap-on that I bought, I don't remember the name, the brand name of it, but I have one that goes around the thighs. I don't like the ones that are like really harness heavy, you know. Um, I like ones that are super adjustable because I have a very extreme curvature of my butt. My butt is very round. So one that can be tightened on the top of my butt and then around the bottom of the butt is going to give me the most stability in the front. And as far as like, you know, I've definitely the ones that are like I've seen plus size ones that are like underpants style. Not for what I'm doing.

But I do I think that the double-ended toys that I've used on fat partners, I don't feel totally safe with that because if they land on it wrong and it pushes in me too hard, I've had a bruised cervex. I'm not trying to do that ever again in my life.

So, like I said, it's you know, we need to think about everybody with disabilities and people who have chronic pain and things like that, just rarely.

I would like to this is something I don't hear talked about a lot, but they have pussy pumps, and it looks like a face mask, but it's for your labias and your vulva in the whole area. You put it on there, try to get a good seal. It's harder when you have a lot of pubic hair. Um, but you know, get it on there, slob it on, enlarge it. I yes, and and pump it up a little bit for you know five, 10 minutes before you start play, and it engorges everything.

And I live in I live in Chicago, it's a cold climate. You know, six months of the year, I cannot use nipple clamps at all because I'll go outside and just start screaming in the alleyway. Um so so the suction um nipple toys I think are much better, and also it once again it elongates your nipples, and it gives all the blood flow, it brings the blood flow there, so it's getting older.
